The management of the flow of services and goods is known as supply chain management. With the help of supply chain management, it is easy for us to handle the entire production of these goods and services. These goods and services are handled from the raw material to the delivery of the final products to the customers. In order to complete these tasks, a company creates a network of suppliers. There are six components of supply chain management. These six components are planning, sourcing, making, delivering, returning and enabling.

The first component of supply chain management is known as planning. Its reason is that the main aim of the product or the service of a company is to meet the needs of the customers. Therefore, it is necessary for you to create an effective plan on how to manage all the required resources to form such product or service which is required for the customers. The members of the supply chain management should think about how to create efficient and effective products or services which are valuable for the customers. In this planning, they should also think about how to meet the goals of the company.

The second main component of supply chain management is known as sourcing. The members of supply chain management should choose such suppliers who can provide such goods and services to the company which is needed to create the target products or services. After that, they should also try to establish such a relationship between the monitor and supplier that is helpful for a company to enhance its performance. This kind of relationship is created with the help of some key processes. These key processes are ordering, receiving and managing. It is also a responsibility of the members of the supply chain management that they should establish such a process which is helpful for them to authorize the payment of the suppliers.

The third main component of supply chain management is known as making. For this reason, it is the responsibility of the members of supply chain management that they should organize such activities that are required to accept the raw material, they should manufacture the products and they should also create an effective plan for the testing of the quality of the products. The fourth main component of supply chain management is known as delivering. For this reason, they should create coordination with the customers, they should invoice the customers and they should provide a secure payment method for the customers.

The fifth main component of supply chain management is known as returning. No doubt, while creating lots of products, there is a possibility that some defective products are also created. The supply chain management team members should try to create an effective plan and outline for the returning of the defective and unwanted products. The last component of supply chain management is known as enabling. Enabling means that there should be a support team whose members can provide necessary information about the products to the buyers. They should also create coordination between the suppliers and buyers.
